Biocon Lake rejuvenation was conceived with an alternate approach to create a sustainable and healthy ecosystem. The floating Treatment Wetland (FTW) technique allows select plants (cleaning agents) to grow hydroponically on the floating rafts fabricated with recycled materials and PVC pipes to further decontaminate the water. Indigenous species consisting of canopy trees, heterogeneous and aromatic plants and medicinal shrubs are used to create a natural perimeter around the lake.
